I’m not quit sure what this question is asking but let me take a stab at it. In order for a town to use social media there would be a place for everyone to submit there stories and gossip. We all become reporters of whats going on in the community.
I think using social media in a town is a great idea. If you went to the town hall meeting you could report the events on the meeting and inform the public on issues discussed. It gives a fresh prospective of things going on around. If you participated in a poker run you could take pictures, talk about the charity (if there was one) that benefited and how much money was raised.
I live in a small town right outside a huge town, but it seems a lot of tech savvy have moved out here to get away from the city so having social media out this way would be extremely successful.
